Registered Nurse - Med Surg
Location: Sierra Vista, Arizona
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Work in an acute care unit with 34 beds
- Patient population includes geriatric, adults, and occasional pediatrics (peds not assigned to traveler)
- Patient ratio approximately 6:1
- Unit cares for telemetry, surgical, and general medical patients
- Equipment used includes Alaris pumps, SCD machines, feeding tubes, tele monitors
- Electronic Health Record system: Cerner
- Shift: 7 AM to 7 PM, occasional weekends required (same shift hours)
- Call required only when down staffed or placed on call
- Float requirements: may be asked to care for inpatient holds
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Arizona
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 1 year of recent Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
Additional Information
- Dress code: scrubs of any color, closed-toed shoes required
- Must be able to work occasional weekends and float as needed
This position is suitable for RNs with Med Surg experience seeking a travel assignment in an acute care setting.
