Location: Sierra Vista, Arizona
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a Medical-Surgical unit in an acute care setting. The unit serves a diverse patient population including geriatric, adult, and occasional pediatric patients (peds not assigned to travelers). The facility is located in a high desert region of southeastern Arizona.
Unit Details
- Unit Type: Acute Care, Medical-Surgical
- Number of Beds: 34
- Patient Ratio: 6:1
- Equipment: Alaris pumps, SCD machines, feeding tubes, telemetry monitors
- Electronic Health Record (EHR): Cerner
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (occasional weekends required)
- Call: Only when down staffed or placed on call
- Float: Possible to care for inpatient holds
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona
- Minimum 1 year of Medical-Surgical nursing experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- At least 1 year of healthcare experience
Work Environment & Culture
- Patient population includes telemetry, surgical, and general medical cases
- Flexible and willing to help personality fit preferred
- Dress code: Scrubs of any color, closed-toed shoes required
