Job Summary

Seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a Medical-Surgical unit in an acute care setting. The unit serves a diverse patient population including geriatric, adult, and occasional pediatric patients (peds not assigned to travelers). The facility is located in a high desert region of southeastern Arizona.

Unit Details

• Unit Type: Acute Care, Medical-Surgical
• Number of Beds: 34
• Patient Ratio: 6:1
• Equipment: Alaris pumps, SCD machines, feeding tubes, telemetry monitors
• Electronic Health Record (EHR): Cerner
• Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (occasional weekends required)
• Call: Only when down staffed or placed on call
• Float: Possible to care for inpatient holds

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona
• Minimum 1 year of Medical-Surgical nursing experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• At least 1 year of healthcare experience

Work Environment & Culture

• Patient population includes telemetry, surgical, and general medical cases
• Flexible and willing to help personality fit preferred
• Dress code: Scrubs of any color, closed-toed shoes required
