Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health
Location: Ottumwa, Iowa
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7 PM – 7 AM
Weekly Hours: 36 or 48 guaranteed
Call Requirements: No call
Patient Population: Adult Behavioral Health Unit (ages 18-65)
Patient Types: Anxiety, Depression, Manic disorders, Borderline personality, Suicidal ideation
Unit Details:
- 14 beds (average daily census ~7)
- Patient ratio: 1:6
- May be required to float within a 25-mile radius
- Electronic Health Record system: MediTech
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa
- Minimum of 2 years of Behavioral Health nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification
- Prior travel nursing experience

- Education: ADN or BSN required
- No call responsibilities
- Housing options available
- Start days allowed: Monday or Tuesday
