Registered Nurse - Rehab

Location: Chesterfield, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Provide inpatient rehabilitation nursing care for adult patients recovering from strokes, brain or spinal cord injuries, amputations, multiple trauma, cancer, complex orthopedic injuries, and other conditions. The role focuses on improving patients' functional ability and quality of life through a comprehensive treatment approach addressing physical, emotional, and psychological needs.

Unit Profile

Department: Rehab (Med/Surg)
Shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Float Requirements: Float within 5 units (Stroke, Comprehensive, Medically Complex, Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury)
Patient Population: Adults (18+ years)
Patient Ratios: Approx. 1:6-7 during day, 1:8 at night; each nurse has a dedicated tech
Number of Beds: 81 private rooms
EHR System: Epic

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Minimum 2 years of experience as an RN in rehabilitation nursing (Med/Surg), including experience within the last year
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred Qualifications

Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) credential

Additional Information

Flexible, collaborative, and positive demeanor preferred
Patient care includes working closely with therapists, physicians, specialists, and family members
First day report to Charge Nurse at 6:30 PM
Parking available in garage (upper level or back two rows of lower level)

Prior travel experience is not explicitly required
Masking required during flu season if not vaccinated due to exemption
