Registered Nurse - CVICU
Location: Lake Havasu City, Arizona
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 8 weeks
Job Details
- Specialty: Blended ICU (CVICU/ICU)
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Call Requirements: Yes
- Float Requirements: Intermediate Care Unit (primary RN), ED holding (as needed)
- Patient Population: Adult, Geriatric
- Unit Beds: 16
- Patient Ratio: 1:2
- Equipment: Baxter pumps
- Electronic Health Record (EHR): Medhost
Required Certifications & Licenses
- Registered Nurse License (RN)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NIH Stroke Certification
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in ICU/CVICU specialty
- Prior travel experience is required

- STEMI, NSTEMI
- COPD exacerbation
- Sepsis
- CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Graft)
- Valve repair/replacement
- Acute Respiratory Failure
- Atrial Fibrillation with Rapid Ventricular Response (A. Fib RVR)
- ETOH Withdrawal
- Head Injury
- Overdose
- Stroke
- Trauma
- Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT)
- TCAR & TVAR procedures
Additional Information
- Attendance Policy: One call-out allowed per contract; second call-out requires documentation and is reviewed case-by-case
- Orientation provided weekly
- No block schedule requests; 48-hour shifts can be considered but are not guaranteed
Work Environment
- Community hospital, Joint Commission Accredited
- Level III Trauma Center
- Certified Chest Pain Center
- Located near outdoor recreation and major cities (Las Vegas, Phoenix, Grand Canyon)
Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify for travel status.
