Location: Gallatin, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit and Facility Overview
- Behavioral Health Unit with 12 beds
- Trauma Level III facility
- Patient ratio: 1:6
- Electronic Health Record system: Meditech
- Float requirements: May be required to float to Medical-Surgical unit if needed
- Weekend hours: Every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday)
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
- Call requirements: None
Job Description
- Provide psychiatric nursing care on the Behavioral Health Unit
- Common diagnoses include Alzheimer’s, behavioral disturbances, failure to thrive, depression, and suicidal ideation
- Team-oriented work environment
- Preferred experience includes geriatric psychiatric nursing and medical floor experience
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
- Minimum 1 year of Behavioral Health nursing experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (CPI) or Healthcare Worker Certification (HWC)
Additional Information
- Orientation occurs weekly on Mondays
- Scrub color: Any color acceptable
- No specific call requirements
- Local candidates must be 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify as travel
