Location: Las Cruces, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Seeking a Registered Nurse with Emergency Department specialty to provide high-quality care in a Level IV Trauma Center emergency service unit. The unit has 20 beds and serves patients of all ages with a focus on high acuity emergency cases.
Shift & Hours
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Weekend Hours: Every Other/As Needed
- Call Requirements: None
- Float Requirements: As Needed
Patient Ratios
- ESI 1, 2, & Horizontal 3s – 4:1
- ESI Vertical 3s, 4, & 5 – 7:1
Required Certifications
- ACLS
- BLS
- ENPC
- NIH Certification
- PALS
- TNCC
Required Licensure
- Registered Nurse License valid in New Mexico
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Emergency Department nursing (higher of 2+ and 3+ years)
Preferred Experience
- Emergency Department, Critical Care, Trauma experience
Additional Requirements
- Must be fingerprinted and cleared according to New Mexico state requirements before hire (14-day waiver with supervision possible while waiting on results)
- Positive attitude, flexibility, and willingness to teach are important personality traits for this role
Work Environment & Tools
- Electronic Health Record system: MedHost
- Dress Code: Scrubs of any color allowed; casual wear and other facility-branded clothing are not acceptable
Patient Population
- All ages (pediatric, adult, geriatric)
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 3 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience
- Emergency Department experience within the last year
- Advanced certifications: ACLS, BLS, ENPC, PALS, TNCC, CPI
