Location: Gallatin, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Seeking a Registered Nurse with orthopedic surgery specialty experience to provide quality care in a Level III Trauma Center. The position involves working in a 23-bed unit with a patient ratio of 4-6:1, caring for geriatric, adult, and pediatric patients (13 years and older).
Unit & Shift Details
- Specialty Areas: Orthopedics, Post Operative, Medical/Surgical
- Shift: See shift details (not specified)
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Weekend Hours: As needed, approximately every third weekend
- Call Requirements: None
- Float Requirements: Must be willing to float as needed
Patient Population
- Geriatric, adult, and pediatric patients (13 years and older)
- Common Diagnoses/Treatments: Post-operative joints, post-op bariatric, post-op gastrointestinal, trauma patients
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an RN in Orthopedic Surgery, with orthopedic experience within the last year
- Certifications required prior to start: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

- Electronic Health Record system: Meditech
- Dress Code: Scrubs of any color allowed; T-shirts must not display hospital logos; acrylic nails are not permitted
- Background Check: Must pass Tennessee Abuse Registry check prior to assignment start
