Registered Nurse - CCU
Location: Las Cruces, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit and Position Details
- Unit: ICU/CCU
- Shift: Varies
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Weekend Hours: As needed, every other weekend
- Call Requirements: As needed
- Patient Population: All ages
- Trauma Level: IV
- Number of Openings: 1
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 2 years of ICU and CCU nursing experience, including at least 1 year of recent ICU experience within the last year
- Certifications:
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Health and Wellness Certification (HWC)
- Must be fingerprinted and undergo background check as required by New Mexico state regulations (travelers may start on a 14-day waiver while waiting on results but must be supervised)
- Professional demeanor and adherence to dress code (scrubs only, no casual wear)
Job Responsibilities and Environment
- Provide nursing care in a critical care setting (ICU/CCU)
- Float to other units as needed
- Work with a diverse patient population across all ages
- Maintain required certifications and licensure throughout assignment
Additional Notes
- Orientation occurs weekly on Mondays
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required
- Must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as a travel assignment
