Location: Gallatin, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Seeking a Registered Nurse with Med Surg Telemetry experience to provide quality healthcare in a Level III Trauma Center. The position involves working on a medical-surgical unit with telemetry monitoring, serving patients of all ages.
Unit Information
- Unit: Medical Surgical Combination 2 (Med Surg Telemetry)
- Shift: See shift details (36 guaranteed weekly hours)
- Weekend Hours: Every other weekend / as needed
- Call Requirements: As needed
- Float: Possibility to float to similar med/surg units
- Patient Population: All ages
- Equipment: Omnicell medication dispensing system
- Electronic Health Record (EHR): Meditech
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
- Minimum 1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry nursing experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Current certifications prior to start:
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification
- Healthcare Worker Certification (HWC)
- Completion of Code of Conduct Orientation
- Telemetry Skills Self-Assessment completed
- Fit Test clearance
- Immunizations and testing required:
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
- TB Testing
- TDAP Vaccine / TD Booster
- Varicella
Skills and Experience
- Must have Med Surg Telemetry experience
- IV insertion skills required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, professional environment
Additional Information
- Orientation occurs weekly on Mondays
- Travel candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify
- Patient ratios and number of beds not specified
- Facility is fully accredited and has a strong community presence
