Location: Gallatin, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Seeking a Registered Nurse with Med Surg Telemetry experience to provide quality healthcare in a Level III Trauma Center. The position involves working on a medical-surgical unit with telemetry monitoring, serving patients of all ages.
Unit Information
- Unit: Medical Surgical Combination (Med Surg Telemetry)
- Shift: See shift details (typically 36 guaranteed hours per week)
- Weekend Hours: Every other weekend / as needed
- Call Requirements: As needed
- Float Requirements: Possible float to similar med/surg units
- Patient Population: All ages
- Equipment: Omnicell medication dispensing system
- Electronic Health Record (EHR): Meditech
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
- Minimum 1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry nursing experience within the last year
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
- HWC certification
- NIHSS certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Additional Requirements
- Must pass Tennessee Abuse Registry check prior to assignment start
- Orientation occurs weekly on Mondays
- Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel staff
Work Environment
- 167-bed healthcare facility with Level III Trauma Center status
- Fully accredited and governed by a local board of trustees
- Provides care to Gallatin, Hendersonville, and surrounding areas
Notes
- Weekend and call shifts are required on an as-needed basis
- Opportunity to float to similar medical-surgical units may be required
