Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Travel Position
Location: Springfield, Missouri
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Job Summary
Provide inpatient rehabilitation services to patients recovering from strokes, brain or spinal cord injuries, amputations, complex orthopedic injuries, and other conditions. Work in a specialized rehabilitation hospital environment with a focus on improving functional ability and quality of life.
Work Schedule
- Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Weekend Hours: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Call Requirements: None
Unit Profile
- Number of Beds: 60
- Patient Ratios: 7 to 1
- Patient Population: Geriatric, adult, and pediatric patients (13 years and older)
- Common Diagnoses/Treatments: Neurological, orthopedic, debility, cardiac conditions
- Equipment Used: EKSO, InMotion UE Robotic, Body weight support
- Electronic Health Records: UDS and Epic
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in Missouri
- Physical Therapy Assistant with at least 1 year of experience
- Experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant within the last year
- Experience in a Rehabilitation setting
- Experience in a Long Term Care setting
- Experience in an Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) or Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)
Preferred Skills and Attributes
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Good work ethic and responsibility
