Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery
Location: Ottumwa, Iowa
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Specialty: Labor & Delivery (L&D)
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
- Call Requirements: None
- Float Requirements: Must be able to float within the hospital to other units as needed
Unit Information
- Patient Ratios:
- Active labor: 1:1
- Couplet Care: 3:1
- Equipment: Intermediate fetal monitoring, Philips Tracevue
- Electronic Health Record (EHR): Meditech
- Patient Population: Laboring mothers and newborns
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery (L&D) RN experience, with experience within the last year
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- STABLE (post-resuscitation/pre-transport care of sick infants)
- Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) certification

- Must be able to float to other units as needed
