Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Emergency Department
Location: Louisburg, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Work in an 11-bed Free Standing Emergency Department (FSED) with a dedicated 33-bed psychiatric unit nearby.
- Patient ratio approximately 4:1.
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 36.
- Shift includes rotating weekends.
- No call requirements.
- Electronic Health Record system used: Paragon.
- Float to nearby ED is rare and not likely.
- Common skills required include IV administration, critical care, and managing drips.
- Preferred experience in Emergency Room and critical care settings.
Required Certifications
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification

Experience Requirements
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Current PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification
- Critical care experience
- Experience managing drips and IV administration
Additional Information
- Orientation sessions are scheduled throughout the year.
- The facility is Joint Commission Accredited.
- No prior travel experience is explicitly required for this position.
