Registered Nurse - Med Surg

Location: Mayfield, Kentucky
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit: Medical Surgical (3rd & 4th Floor)
Number of Openings: 1
Shift: See shift details
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
Weekend Hours: Every other weekend / as needed
Call Requirements: As needed
Float Requirements: As needed, possibility to float to like units
Patient Population: All ages
Patient Ratios: Up to 1:6 with PCA assistance
Number of Beds: 57
EHR System: MediTech

Job Description

Provide nursing care on a medical-surgical unit serving a diverse patient population.
Common diagnoses include COPD, post-operative joint patients, and diabetic population.
The role requires a kind, caring, and compassionate personality fit.

Required Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse license valid in Kentucky
Minimum 1 year of experience in medical-surgical nursing
Required certifications prior to start: ACLS, BLS, and HWC
Must meet all required certifications as per client checklist (may require additional certifications)

Additional Information

Orientation is held weekly on Mondays
Scrub color: Any
Unacceptable attire: Branded attire from other facilities
Travel candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify

Note: Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
