Job Opportunity: CST/ORT First Assist

Location: Lake Havasu City, Arizona
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with First Assist experience for a community hospital and regional referral center. The facility is Joint Commission Accredited with 171 beds and a Level 3 Trauma Center. The position requires open heart surgery experience and involves working with a variety of surgical cases including total joints (MAKO robotics knees & hips), spine, orthopedic, neuro, craniotomies, robotics, OB/GYN, podiatry, urology, general surgery, and plastics.

Work Schedule

Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
Weekend coverage provided by a call team
Call requirements depend on staffing levels (approximately 3 days per month if 10 staff)
May be required to float within a 25-mile radius of the facility

Patient Population & Case Load

Case volume ranges from 10 to 25 cases per day
Diverse surgical specialties including orthopedic, neuro, robotics, OB/GYN, and more

Required Qualifications

CVOR Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with OR First Assist Certification
Surgical First Assistant experience
Open heart surgery experience
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
