Registered Nurse - Orthopedic Surgery (Travel)

Location: Pasco, Washington
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

Provide nursing care in the Orthopedic Surgery unit, supporting patients primarily undergoing procedures such as knee replacements. The unit includes 10 beds with a patient ratio of 1:5. The position is day shift with every other weekend required. No call responsibilities. Float requirements apply.


Unit Information

  • Specialty: Orthopedics / Joint and Spine
  • Trauma Level: 4
  • Patient Population: Adult and Geriatrics
  • Electronic Health Record (EHR) system: Meditech
  • Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 18

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Orthopedic Surgery nursing, including experience within the last year
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Details

  • Shift: Day
  • Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
  • Call: None
  • Float: Required
  • Dress Code: Professional scrubs (any color), hoodies are not acceptable
  • Common Diagnoses/Treatments: Knee replacement surgeries

Notes for Candidates

  • Must be located more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify as travel
  • Orientation dates are scheduled regularly throughout the year
  • Candidate submission requires a full packet including resume, self-assessment, and skills checklist
