Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery
Location: Fort Mohave, Arizona
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit Profile
- Department: Labor & Delivery (OB/Gyn)
- Unit Beds: 9
- Patient Population: Labor, Post-Partum, Neonates
- Patient Ratios: Vary based on patient acuity
- Equipment: IV Pumps, Epidural Pumps, Fetal Monitoring Equipment, Fetal Doppler, Syringe Pump
- Electronic Health Record (EHR): Med Host + Centricity
- Shift: PM
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed
- Weekend Requirement: Work every other weekend (days on Saturday/Sunday, nights on Friday/Saturday)
- Call Requirements: None
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
- Experience working with neonate patients
- Experience working with maternal-fetal patients
- Postpartum experience
- Nursery experience
- Certifications:
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) Intermediate or Advanced
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Ability to provide stable care in a fast-paced environment
Additional Information
- Common Diagnoses/Treatments: Term and late preterm indications such as gestational hypertension and gestational diabetes
- Personality Fit: Team player, flexible schedule, experience with Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum (LDRP) units
- Dress Code: Black scrubs required; no unacceptable attire specified
- Float Requirements: None
This position offers the opportunity to work in a well-equipped, private-bed hospital with a focus on labor, delivery, and neonatal care in a Level 1 trauma and well-baby center.
