Description
Focus Staff is seeking a traveling Certified Infusion Therapy RN, who will manage the coordination of care and nursing functions of an infusion site with the practice, pharmacy. They are responsible for hospital discharge planning, referral management, and drug and supply inventories. They could interact with patients daily by instructing them of the medication and disease process, educating and administering drugs, and safely monitoring and following up as needed.
Contract Assignment - 13 Weeks (Temporary)
Shift: 5x8 Days

Requirements:
- Motivated candidates who are looking for career growth
- AHA Current Basic Life Support certification for Health Care Providers
- BSN from accredited nursing program, and proper licensure
- Excellent communication skills with the staff, physicians, patients, and families

Responsibilities:
- Admit Infusion, Self-Injectable, and Enteral patients.
- Teach patients and caregivers how to administer therapies at home.
- Perform patient visits according to the Plan of Care or as patient need dictates.
- Deliver age appropriate care and instruction.
- Perform required documentation.
- Perform case management activities for assigned patients.
- Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of home infusion therapy education protocols and materials.
- Participate in nursing staff education and training programs to maintain skills for assessing and teaching home infusion therapy patients.
