Shift: 7A - 7:30P; Weekend block schedule may be considered.

Job Description

The nurses in our Progressive Critical Care Unit care for some of the most medically delicate and surgically complex patients in our region. Common conditions include respiratory failure, sepsis, closed head injuries, multi-system organ dysfunction, endocrine disorders, complex traumas, and surgical complications. Candidates must be competent in the care of medical and surgical populations, ACLS, and advanced hemodynamics including pressor usage per our titration protocols.

Responsibilities

• Administer antihypertensive drips, sedative and narcan drips, and thrombo-embolytics.
• Manage a line, CVP, EVD, and ortho traction.
• Implement infection prevention protocols, including HFNC, BiPap/Cpap, and oxypendent care.
• Monitor and manage an average patient load of 3 high acuity patients.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Epic experience is required.
• Experience in large scale adult PCU and community hospital ICU is preferred.
• ACLS certification is necessary.
• Competency test required within 48 hours of submission.
