Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Cardiac Care Unit specializing in Cardiovascular Intensive Care (CVICU). The ideal candidate must possess the ability to manage complex cardiac patients and is familiar with various monitoring and treatment protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provide the highest quality care to cardiothoracic surgery patients, including CABGs, valve replacements, and other complex procedures.
• Manage direct rates for open heart admissions from the OR, including pressure monitoring and Swan-Ganz catheter management.
• Administer and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips in accordance with patient needs.
• Oversee patient management in cases of multiple organ dysfunction or failure, including cater to ventilated patients.
• Conduct timely assessments and interpretation of dysrhythmias while managing emergency responses effectively.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in CVICU.
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications are required.
• Experience with ACT Activated Clotting Time, CRRT, and Impella monitoring.
• Direct open heart admission experience is essential.
