Shift: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
On-Call Rotation: Participation in a rotating call schedule, including one weekday evening on-call every other week and one weekend on-call approximately every fifth week.
Job Description
The Sonography Department at Bassett Medical Center provides high-quality ultrasound imaging services with a focus on both general and specialized vascular studies. Sonographers are expected to possess strong skills in general and vascular ultrasound, with preferred experience in interventional radiology. The department operates within an IAC-accredited Non-Invasive Vascular Lab, requiring sonographers with advanced knowledge in various diagnostic vascular studies.
Responsibilities
- Perform all required vascular ultrasound studies independently, including venous and arterial duplex studies, carotid duplex studies, bypass graft studies, mesenteric and renal artery duplex studies, vein mapping, fistula flow, and venous reflux studies.
- Work collaboratively within a team of sonographers to ensure comprehensive 24/7 coverage.
- Occasionally provide services at additional Bassett Medical Center locations, including outpatient clinics and outreach centers.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Proficiency in performing a full range of vascular ultrasound studies.
- ARDMS certification required; RVT certification preferred.
- Demonstrated competency and frequency across various ultrasound studies, with profiles including competency scores highly recommended.
