Job Description

Our Emergency Department (ED) RNs must be ready to care for patients when they need us most. In addition to providing specialized and innovative services, our ED RNs are equipped to handle an array of emergency situations for patients of all ages. They are trained in dealing with various trauma situations requiring quick and decisive actions.

Responsibilities

• Quickly and accurately assess incoming patients with both physical and mental health conditions.
• Prioritize patients' injuries and medical needs accordingly.
• Formulate effective nursing care plans based on clinical knowledge and analytical abilities.
• Provide a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

Schedule

This position requires three 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, every other weekend.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 18 months of nursing experience working in an ED environment.
• ED experience within the past six months.
• Current NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• Telemetry certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• CEU Contact Stroke 4 Hours.
