Job Description

The Electrophysiology Tech will be responsible for assisting with both diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the Electrophysiology lab. This position requires a strong understanding of cardiac procedures, including arrhythmia induction, cardiac mapping, and device implantation.

Responsibilities

Accurate monitoring and equipment setup
Performing EKG lead placement and preparing access sites
Recognizing life-threatening arrhythmias
Scrubbing procedures to maintain a sterile field
Assisting in various electrophysiology and cardiac cath lab procedures
Circulating and assisting in electrophysiology studies and equipment operation

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrophysiology or related field; 3 years preferred
ACLS, BLS required
Certifications such as ARRT CI, ARRT R, ARRT VI, CCI RCES, or CCI RCIS preferred
Experience with hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias
