Schedule
Night shifts, 3x12 Hour format (18:45 - 07:15). Weekend requirement: 5-6 shifts over a 6-week schedule period.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing care to patients on the Cardiac Telemetry unit. The role requires strong cardiac experience, including the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. Responsibilities include monitoring patients with cardiac issues, administering cardiac drips, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage patients with cardiovascular diagnoses such as congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, and post-cardiac catheterization.
- Provide patient care with a focus on telemetry and cardiac monitoring.
- Administer IV therapy, medications, and blood products as needed.
- Perform central line care/management and peripheral line management.
- Titrate vasoactive and cardiac drips as appropriate.
- Implement isolation precautions and manage medications effectively.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a telemetry or PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown setting.
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS preferred.
- Experience with cardiac drips including Dobutamine, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Milrinone, and Dopamine.
- Proficient in the interpretation of dysrhythmias and remote monitoring.
- Ability to manage and administer IV therapy/Phlebotomy.
- First-time travelers are accepted.
