Shift is 12 hours, nights from 7 PM to 7 AM. Weekend responsibilities typically require working every other weekend.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Progressive Care Unit (PCU). The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background in telemetry and be skilled in monitoring and managing patients with complex cardiac conditions. This role includes floating to appropriate units as part of the Resource Float team.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient care for a variety of diagnoses, including Acute Coronary Syndrome, heart failure, and patients requiring close monitoring.
• Administer medications, including insulin and cardiac drips, and perform procedures such as starting IVs and conducting EKGs.
• Ensure accurate documentation using the EPIC system and monitor patients utilizing telemetry.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience, with at least 1 year in a Progressive Care Unit or similar setting.
• Active AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• NIHSS certification required prior to start.
• Experience with insulin and cardiac drips is essential.
• Must have recent experience with the EPIC documentation system.
