Night shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing critically ill patients, particularly those recovering from cardiac surgeries such as CABG, MVR, AVR, and TAVR.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the CVICU.
Assist with procedures such as chest tube insertion and removal, BiPAP, and CPAP management.
Perform vital assessments and closely monitor hemodynamics and treatment responses.
Manage and administer medications, including IV sedation and cardiac drips.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience.
Current New Jersey RN license.
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
Experience with CVICU patients, including post-operative cardiac care.
Preferred experience with devices such as Impella, IABP, and CRRT.
