Job Description

Through clinical practice, service excellence, professional development, and research and evidence-based practice, the Level II Registered Nurse, under the direction of the Nurse Manager, is accountable for the provision of competent care based on established standards. The Level II Registered Nurse assumes an expanded role, which may include charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent nursing care in accordance with established standards.
• Assume roles such as charge nurse and preceptor as required.
• Participate in committees and contribute to improvement initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Two years of Med Surg experience is required.
• Telemetry experience is required.
• New York State Registered Nurse (NYS RN) license is required.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required.
