Job Description

The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will be a vital part of the healthcare team, providing comprehensive care in a busy Labor and Delivery unit. Responsibilities include managing high acuity patients, assisting with labor and delivery processes, and circulating in the OR for surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

Manage labor and delivery cases, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Assist in cesarean sections and other surgical processes as needed.
Administer IV medications, including magnesium drips.
Provide triage care and support in the antepartum and postpartum stages.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to enhance patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Experience in a fast-paced Labor and Delivery unit.
Ability to serve as scrub nurse and circulate in the operating room.
Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWOHHN Fetal Heart Rate Intermediate certifications.
