Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Assignment Duration

This is an 8-week contract position starting December 8 and ending January 31.

Schedule

Day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM for three 12-hour days, with every other weekend coverage.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced birthing center environment. The ideal candidate will have both Labor and Delivery and Mother/Baby experience, with the ability to handle various obstetrical procedures and triage patients effectively.

Responsibilities

Manage and provide care during labor and delivery.
Perform antepartum care and procedures.
Triage obstetrical patients and coordinate care.
Monitor fetal heart rates and recognize abnormal patterns.
Assist in scheduling and preparing for C-section procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery.
Certifications: BLS, ACLS (via AHA), NRP required. AWHONN Advanced and Intermediate preferred.
Experience with patient ratios of 1:2 during day shifts.
