Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse specializing in Med/Surg Telemetry to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background and the ability to provide high-quality patient care in a telemetry unit setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, monitor vital signs, and respond to patient needs in a telemetry setting.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions and post-discharge care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 18 months recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience.
• Must have a current permanent Ohio license or a compact state license in hand.
• AHA BLS & ACLS required; NIH certification must be obtained prior to start.
• Epic experience is mandatory.
• One recent reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty is required for qualification.
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate during orientation with an acceptable score on both assessments.
