Behavioral Health RN - Adolescent Unit

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shifts: 3x12 hours, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with every other weekend required.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Registered Nurse to join our Adolescent Unit. The RN will provide care to adolescents with various mental health disorders, ensuring they receive the appropriate treatment and support in a safe environment.

Responsibilities

Provide care and support to adolescents with anxiety, depressive disorders, bipolar disorder, psychotic disorders, and substance use issues.
Implement emergency care and physical hold protocols as required.
Administer medications and monitor patients’ blood glucose levels.
Participate in therapeutic approaches and psychoeducation for patients and families.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary support teams, including social services and pharmacy.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Minimum of 1 year of experience in Behavioral Health nursing.
Current and valid RN license.
BLS certification required; CPI and First Aid certifications can be obtained during orientation.
Previous charge experience preferred.
