Job Description

Join our multidisciplinary team in providing nursing care to multi-system-injured trauma patients and surgical patients. You will work in a six-bed intermediate care stepdown unit, providing an intermediate level of care to patients requiring closer monitoring and nursing support.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to trauma patients, monitoring vital signs and administering medications as required.
• Perform IV therapy, phlebotomy, and blood product administration.
• Manage central and peripheral lines, including PICC line management.
• Assist in respiratory management, including care for chest tubes and tracheostomies.
• Participate in rapid response and code team processes as necessary.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1 year of experience in a similar role or specialty required.
• Valid RN license in the state of employment.
• ACLS and BLS certifications preferred.
• CPI certification and flu shot compliance required.
• Experience with trauma patients preferred.
