Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). The ideal candidate will have experience in neuro nursing, with a focus on providing high-quality care for patients with neurological disorders.

Responsibilities

Provide nursing care to patients in the Neuro PCU, ensuring appropriate monitoring and assessment.
Administer medications and manage cardiac drips without titration.
Perform IV therapy, peripheral line care, and central line management as needed.
Monitor neuro status and implement isolation precautions as required.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient care outcomes.
Assist with special procedures like swallowing screens and CPR management.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a progressive care unit or neuro-related field.
Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
Experience in CVA care, external CPAP/BiPAP management, and TR-Band usage.
Preferred: Previous charge nurse experience.
