Job Description

The Inpatient Surgery Nurse will provide essential nursing care to a diverse patient population in a busy post-operative environment. The role necessitates strong clinical skills for managing various conditions, including pain management needs and post-operative care.

Responsibilities

Administer frequent pain medications and IV treatments.
Manage wound vacs, JP drains, and dressing changes.
Oversee patient care related to general surgery, urology, neurology, and other specialties.
Conduct assessments including vital signs, intake and output, and pain assessments.
Utilize monitoring equipment and patient care management software (EPIC) for documentation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Current nursing license required.
BLS certification is mandatory.
Experience in post-operative, medical-surgical, or similar acute care settings is preferred.
