12-hour night shifts; every other weekend and holidays required as needed.

Job Description

The Med-Surg Registered Nurse will coordinate total nursing care for patients and participate in patient and family education. The nurse will provide leadership by collaborating with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel to maintain standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. May also be required to act as a backup Charge Nurse.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate total nursing care for patients.
• Participate in patient and family teaching.
• Provide leadership and collaborate with other healthcare personnel.
• May float between Acute Rehab and Med-Surg units.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years recent Med-Surg Rehab experience is required.
• Charge RN experience is required.
• Must have at least 3 months of previous travel experience.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA) are required.
• BSN preferred.
• Vermont state nursing license is required.
• Candidates must have their own vehicle as public transport is not available in the area.
