12-hour rotating shifts (Day/Night).
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Progressive Care Nurse for a high-acuity unit with a focus on tele-surgical care. You will provide critical care to post-operative cardiac patients, requiring proficiency in managing complex conditions.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care in a progressive care unit with a surgical and cardiac focus.
- Float to similar units as necessary.
- Participate in holiday rotations, including Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- 2 years of nursing experience, with a minimum of 1 year in a progressive care unit.
- AHA BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
- NIH Stroke Scale certification must be obtained prior to start.
- PCCN certification is preferred.
- Recent experience (within the last year) in a large trauma level 1 facility is essential.
- Epic EMR experience within the last 2 years is required.
- Cardiothoracic and vascular experience is required.
- Experience with post-operative care for both open and closed heart patients.
