Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse specialized in Cardiac Telemetry to provide high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients with cardiac and respiratory conditions. The focus will include patients with Congestive Heart Failure, NSTEMI, Acute Coronary Syndrome, Arrhythmias, as well as respiratory issues such as COPD and pneumonia. The nurse will work within a collaborative interdisciplinary team to deliver exemplary patient care.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients in a cardiac telemetry unit.
• Administer medications and treatments per the care plan.
• Manage IV therapy, including starting and maintaining IVs.
• Conduct patient education and engage in discharge planning.
• Assist with high flow nasal cannula (HFNC) and other respiratory support measures.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals for comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Cardiac Telemetry nursing.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Experience with IV therapy and phlebotomy preferred.
• Teaching hospital experience is preferred.
• Previous charge nurse experience is preferred.
