Night shift: 3x12 hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00) with every other weekend required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Medical Surgical Rehabilitation unit will provide comprehensive nursing care for patients with diverse rehabilitation needs, including cerebrovascular conditions, traumatic brain injury, and severe deconditioning. Collaborating within an interdisciplinary team, the RN will develop and implement individualized care plans and engage in direct patient care including therapy coordination.

Responsibilities

• Administer IV therapy, blood products, and perform venous blood draws.
• Monitor and manage cardiac patients, including post-operative care and medication administration.
• Engage in patient teaching regarding diabetic management, fall risk prevention, and medication compliance.
• Perform assessments related to patient's neurological, endocrine, and respiratory status.
• Collaborate with physical therapy and social services to coordinate patient rehabilitation plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required.
• At least 1 year of inpatient rehabilitation hospital or unit experience preferred.
• BLS certification is required; Acute care rehabilitation certification is preferred.
• Must possess a valid West Virginia or Compact RN License before starting.
