Job Description

We are seeking an MRI Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate knows how to operate the MRI machine efficiently, can make patients feel comfortable before and during the scanning procedure, and coordinates with the patient's physician to ensure the results are received in a timely manner. Familiarity with medical terminology and the ability to stand for extended periods are essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging
• Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable
• Insert IVs when necessary for the test
• Document all procedures while maintaining the confidentiality of patient information
• Patient care tasks as needed

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Two (2) years of experience required
• BLS (American Heart Association ONLY) required
• NY License ONLY required
• GE scanner experience required
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience preferred
• Certification through the ARRT or a similar organization preferred, with willingness to obtain after starting
