This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

5x8 hour shifts with the possibility of negotiating up to 4x10 hour shifts. There is no rotating shift schedule. Expect 2-3 call shifts per month and at least 1 holiday assignment.

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Interventional Radiology Radiologic Technologist with experience in Neurosurgery or Neuroscience. The ideal candidate will demonstrate competence and proficiency in selecting exposure factors and producing high-quality diagnostic radiologic images. A commitment to patient care and teamwork is essential.

Responsibilities

• Administer oral contrast as needed for exams.
• Instruct and prepare patients for radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations.
• Assist Radiologist during procedures.
• Operate all x-ray equipment, CR, and DR systems proficiently.
• Report equipment malfunctions to the manager or lead.
• Complete all assigned procedures in a timely manner.
• Maintain medication security for authorized personnel only.
• Demonstrate competency in providing healthcare services for all age groups.
• Engage in hospital performance improvement activities when warranted.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Two (2) years of experience in a relevant field.
• Licensing in the state of New York.
• Experience in Neurosurgery or Neuroscience is required.
• AART certification is required.
• VIR certification is a plus but not required.
