Job Description

We are seeking a Registered Nurse for our Medical Surgical/Oncology unit. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients battling cancer, implement treatment plans, and support palliative care initiatives.

Responsibilities

Administer chemotherapy and other medications as prescribed.
Monitor patients for signs of complications and provide symptom management.
Perform care and management of central lines and ports.
Assist with various procedures including bone marrow aspirations and chest tube management.
Educate patients and families about the oncological processes and palliative care options.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the best patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

1 year of nursing experience; 2 years preferred in a medical/surgical oncology setting.
Current BLS certification; ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certification preferred.
WV/Compact RN License required, or ability to submit with a pending RN license.
Preferred experience with telemetry, central line draws, ports, and blood administration.
