Schedule

Shifts are available from 10:00 AM to 8:30 PM and 12:00 PM to 10:30 PM. Some Saturdays and holidays will be required.

Job Description

The PACU RN will provide care for patients in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit. This role requires high acuity critical care PACU skills and experience in a large teaching facility. The ideal candidate will have experience working with all ages, including pediatrics, and will be comfortable managing critical care equipment and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage patients recovering from anesthesia.
• Administer medications and IV therapies as prescribed.
• Assess patient conditions and respond to changes effectively.
• Communicate with surgical teams regarding patient status.
• Provide a safe environment by following safety protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 2-5 years of PACU experience in a critical care setting.
• Experience with critical care equipment, arterial lines, and multiple titrating drips.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
• Infusion specialty preferred.
• EPIC experience within the last 2 years is mandatory.
• Reliable transportation is required; public transport is not available in the area.
