Shift: 7a-3:30p, 8hr Days (8x5), with weekend, holiday, and on-call duties required.

Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse to provide exceptional patient care in a surgical setting. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of nursing principles and demonstrate strong leadership and problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments. The responsibilities include assessing patient needs, recognizing safety issues, and maintaining a safe and aseptic environment in the operating room.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in the operating room.
• Assess patients' clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual needs.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed for self and others.
• Utilize clinical equipment effectively within the operating room.
• Respond to on-call responsibilities within a 30-minute time frame.
• May assume duties as a charge nurse when required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current New York State RN license or eligibility for licensure.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• A minimum of one year of medical/surgical experience preferred.
• Leadership experience, such as preceptorship or charge nurse responsibilities, is preferred.
• Proficiency in lethal dysrhythmia interpretation.
