Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical Telemetry

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule / Shift

12-Hour Night Shifts. A minimum of every other weekend is required, with scheduling adjusted to meet the needs of the unit and patient care. Travelers must also be available to work 2 out of 3 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas/Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day/Eve.

Job Description

The role involves providing care in a telemetry environment for various medical/surgical patients. The position requires floating between different units, managing ED Hold patients, and adapting to changing patient needs.

Responsibilities

Monitor and assess patients' conditions.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Assist with diagnostic tests and interpret results.
Provide patient education regarding health management.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a medical/surgical telemetry setting.
AHA BLS certification required; CMSRN certification preferred.
NIH Stroke Scale certification will be required prior to starting.
Prior travel experience is preferred.
