Medical Imaging Technologist

Job Description

The Medical Imaging Technologist, under the direction of the Medical Director and/or Section Head, manager, and Radiologist, performs technical procedures and assists in the clinical evaluation and care of patients. Utilizing their specific modality, the technologist creates diagnostic images and ensures a safe, positive experience for patients. Technologists are responsible for enforcing radiation safety measures in accordance with New York State Department of Health regulations. They are committed to ongoing education and adapting to technological advancements.

Schedule

This position requires a shift from Friday to Sunday, 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Associate Degree in Applied Science - required
Diploma in X-Ray - required
Graduate of an approved professional academic imaging program - required
ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Registered upon hire - required
New York State registration or limited permit to practice in New York - required
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certified upon hire - required
