Cardiac Sonographer - Echocardiography

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Rotating day shifts, including weekends (1-2 weekends per month) and overnight call 2-3 nights per month from 5:00 PM to 6:30 AM.

Job Description

Join a busy inpatient echocardiography lab at a tertiary care hospital with a level I trauma center. This position offers an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Perform an average of 7 echocardiograms per day.
Utilize proficiency in transthoracic echocardiograms (TTEs), stress echocardiograms, and transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs).
Maintain strict adherence to lab standards and protocols for diagnostic accuracy.
Optimize image quality through effective scanning techniques and appropriate use of ultrasound contrast agents.
Provide exceptional patient care, ensuring comfort and understanding throughout procedures.
Participate in case reviews and continuous improvement initiatives within the team.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Minimum 5 years of echocardiography experience.
At least 2 years of acute inpatient echo experience in a trauma level I facility.
Certification as RDCS or RCS is required.
Expertise in performing 3D echo and strain imaging is a must.
