Registered Nurse - CVOR

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 4x10 hours (11:00 AM - 9:30 PM).

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse specializing in CVOR with a minimum of 3 years of experience. The ideal candidate should have experience in both scrubbing and circulating for open heart adult surgical cases, such as CABG and valve procedures. Additionally, knowledge of devices such as Impella, HeartMate, ECMO, and TAVR is required as these procedures may also be performed in the main OR.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care during cardiovascular surgical procedures.
Assist in both scrubbing and circulating roles for open heart cases.
Maintain knowledge of surgical instruments and devices used in CVOR procedures.
Float to Main OR when there are no CVOR cases during the shift.
Participate in on-call duty approximately 1 weekend per month.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a CVOR setting.
Current BLS certification; CNOR certification is preferred.
Ability to handle patients of all ages, with a focus on adult and geriatric populations.
Preferred experience with vascular, general surgery, neurology, and transplant surgery.
