Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with experience in Labor and Delivery to join our LDRP unit. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong skills in both mother and baby care, with an ability to work autonomously in a low to moderate volume environment. This unit is not very busy, with approximately 100 births annually, but does see higher acuity and high-risk cases.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to expectant mothers and newborns in the LDRP unit.
• Monitor fetal heart rates and assess patient conditions during labor.
• Administer medications and manage patient documentation using Centricity and Meditech Magic.
• Assist with special procedures and interdisciplinary collaboration for high-risk cases.
• Float to other departments as required, including MedSurg.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in Labor and Delivery.
• Certifications: ACLS, NRP, AWHONN (Intermediate or Advanced), BLS.
• Experience with Fetal Heart Monitoring.
• Ability to work the required night shifts and every other weekend.
