Job Description

The Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist, under the direction of the Medical Director, Clinical Specialist, Manager, and Radiologist, performs technical procedures and assists in the clinical evaluation and care of patients in a fast-paced, Level I Trauma and Academic Medical Center. The MRI Technologist utilizes their specific modality to create diagnostic images, ensuring a safe and positive experience for the patients. Technologists are expected to support teaching and continue learning as the technology evolves, both for themselves and for others. The role encompasses trauma and emergency room scanning as well as MRI exams for outpatients, inpatients (both stable and those in intensive care), research patients, and those requiring specialized MRI-guided procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI technical procedures under supervision.
• Assist in clinical evaluations and patient care.
• Create diagnostic images for various patient scenarios.
• Support ongoing teaching and learning initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• ARRT certification and NYSDOH license required at the time of submission.
